I’m Brea, mom to three great kiddos and wife to John. We love our life as a family of five and these guys make life full and busy in the best possible way!
Ever since having children I’ve longed to capture beautiful photos of them. Not only did I want to capture formal photos once a year or so, I wanted to capture our everyday lives in a way that was beautiful and artful, in a way that I envisioned, but didn’t ever seem to be able achieve. It was frustrating, but, being curious and motivated, I began studying photography. I joined photography forums online and found other photographers who could guide me in my learning journey. I took courses, read books and I practiced and practiced until my learning and hard work began to pay off. I began to see that I was finally able to produce with my camera the beautiful image I saw in my mind’s eye.
I quickly learned that trying to get my kids to pose was an exercise in frustration. But capturing them in a way that allowed them to be themselves made photographs an enjoyable process for us all. I’ve found that the best photos I take are the ones that aren’t posed or planned, but that capture a slice of life, the little details I want to remember. This is why I began to pursue Lifestyle Photography. My clients love my Lifestyle Sessions at Home because it makes family photos a stress-free process. I can’t think of anything I enjoy more than seeing the delight on my client’s faces when they see their loved ones beautifully captured. Having three children drives my passion to help others capture days and moments that are precious to them – that are all too quickly gone.
I am meticulous, even a perfectionist when it comes to my work. I believe in quality, in attention to detail, and in the incalculable value of tangibly printed images. I want my work to stand the test of time. And I love giving my clients something unique, like the photo/video fusion slideshows I offer with my lifestyle sessions.
Finally, I long for my work to make a difference in the world, and to contribute to the flourishing of the city where I live. A percentage of the proceeds from my business are donated annually to fight the commercial exploitation and trafficking of children in Atlanta.
That’s enough about me. I want to hear about you!
