Atlanta Area Lifestyle Newborn Photography
A Lifestyle Newborn Photography session takes place in your home. Most lifestyle newborn sessions last 2 to 3 hours, depending on the needs of the baby and other members of the family.
The most wonderful aspect of lifestyle newborn photography, as opposed to a more posed approach, is that it allows us to simply follow the baby’s cues. If the baby is fussy and needs to be soothed, that’s what we do. An image of a dad soothing his baby is gorgeous!
If the baby needs to eat, we feed the baby.
If the baby is awake and happy, that’s great, too!
A lifestyle newborn session gives you freedom to be yourselves, to let the baby do what the baby wants and needs to do, and to capture it all beautifully without the stress of needing to pose for the camera.
I always advise new parents to plan to have the house nice and warm, as this makes for a calmer baby.
Once the memories are captured it’s time to bring your story to life! I will get to work turning your images into works of art! I will spend the next two weeks culling your images and choosing the best of the best. I will individually edit each image and once they are perfected I will prepare a slide show for you to enjoy on your Reveal Night.
On the big Reveal Night I will present your slideshow of images and I will help you plan the best way to enjoy your images in your home. This part can feel daunting, but that’s why I will be there with you, to walk you through the decision making process. You will get to see samples of all the printed products available to you.
If you are interested in displaying images on your walls, I have a great tool to help with this. It’s an app that allows my clients to preview their portraits at different sizes right on their own walls. Seeing your images on your wall makes decisions so easy and ensures that you will have beautiful works of art to enjoy in your home for years to come.
I would be honored to tell the story of your growing family.
