Atlanta Outdoor Professional Portraits
When planning an outdoor portrait session, we will work together to determine an outdoor location that will be convenient for you and that will provide a lovely backdrop that will showcase your family.
My approach to family photography is more organic than posed. I want to capture your family’s true personality – your story – and the joy and love you share. The images my clients cherish most show their family connecting, loving, and enjoying one another. I will spend the first few minutes of each session connecting with your children, playing and getting them comfortable, and you can expect lots of encouragement from me to play with your children throughout your session! This is vital to capturing genuine and expressive photos.
After we get loosened up and the children are more comfortable they are usually more open to my direction, so we will move into a more traditional posed family portrait. But we won’t spend too much time here. Children will usually only tolerate so much of that! You can expect to spend the majority of our time together playing, interacting, and having fun. You can expect your session to last about one hour.
Once the memories are captured it’s time to bring your story to life! I will get to work turning your images into works of art! I will spend the next two weeks culling your images and choosing the best of the best. I will individually edit each image and once they are perfected I will prepare a slide show for you to enjoy on your Reveal Night.
On the big Reveal Night I will present your slideshow of images and help you plan the best way to enjoy your images in your home. This part can feel daunting, but that’s why I will be there with you, to walk you through the decision making process.
One of my favorite tools is an app that allows my clients to preview their portraits at different sizes right on their own walls. Seeing your images on your wall makes decisions so easy and ensures that you will have beautiful works of art to enjoy in your home for years to come.
I want your images to be a masterpiece, to become your cherished works of art in your home.
